THE ART OF SHARING
I came up with the concept for Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro and Darna Lounge while growing up in the beautiful city of Marrakech, Morocco. I always enjoyed our rich Moroccan traditions: the aroma of our slow-cooked tagines, the colors of our murals and rugs, and the sights and sounds in the marketplace.
At the same time, I yearned to discover and learn from the west. I listened to international music, learned other languages, and gradually acquired a mindset that helped me to understand and embrace both worlds.
Kous Kous and Darna are a way to share my story, and the pleasures of my country with you. I invite you to enjoy the fragrant herbs and spices, music, and colors of Morocco, and perhaps you’ll be inspired to share your stories too
